The eraser tool is not my friend, we do not get along. One of the tutorials I read suggested I use it to “clean up details, etc.” but I cannot figure out for the life of me how to do that and have it blend in w/ the Gaussian blur…

I’ve discovered that this particular technique — fake tilt-shifting — can also be used to highlight certain areas of photos. Which is COOL.

I think I’ve figured it out, the basics at least. I’ve also figured out that the kinds of photos I usually take don’t lend themselves well to this technique.
