In the mood for this today. Again.

Speaking of “high as you can be,” here’s Tom Kenny with The Creeper

Is You Is Or Is You Ain’t My Baby? — Bruce Hornsby & John D’Earth, World’s Greatest Dad Soundtrack

I think I actually squee’d when I opened my mail this morning. Anybody seen it yet? If you have, then you know what these are.
You know — I don’t really need ALL five of these buttons… if you love the film as much as I do, I might give you one.

"Tiny Spark," Brendan Benson

Another song from World’s Greatest Dad. Have you seen it yet? It’s available On Demand, you know.

I listened to a lot of these songs while writing this movie, and played them on set while we were filming. I think all of them were an important part of the story, and I’m really happy that I got to use them. I’m also really happy that I got to put out a soundtrack. I’m over the moon that Bruce Hornsby agreed to do this, and even happier that he didn’t punch me right in the face after seeing the final product. What a relief that he’s as nice as he is talented. I sort of don’t believe that anyone is really going to read this, so if you see me, please tell me that you did.

"Invisible," Bruce Hornsby, from the World’s Greatest Dad soundtrack

This is my favorite song from the movie. I had no idea I liked Bruce Hornsby so much until I heard his contributions to this film. They’re wonderful.

Bobcat & me
He’s here!

Bobcat & me

He’s here!

I used to think the worst thing in life was to end up all alone. It’s not. The worst thing in life is ending up with people who make you feel all alone.

Lance Clayton

That’s it. Last WGD post. Promise. (!!!)

Yeah, I’m the weird one, yeah. Oh God.

Lance Clayton, World’s Greatest Dad

It’s running in the background. Thinking about buying the soundtrack.

"Under Pressure," David Bowie/Queen

This song plays under one of my favorite scenes in World’s Greatest Dad.

World’s Greatest Dad

Just finished seeing this movie. Am lucky, I know, that Bobcat Goldthwait is booked on our show as a guest Friday morning, & that is why I was sent an advance copy of the film. World’s Greatest Dad is dark & sad & it’s sweet & funny and I liked it so much I watched it twice! Robin Williams looks joyous, like he’s having the best time. The boy from Spy Kids, Daryl Sabara — 16 now, is so good in his role I wanted to climb into the television & punch him in the face. The soundtrack is splendid. Bobcat makes a nice cameo, as do Williams’ private parts. The subject matter is indeed dark, there’s no getting around that. If you’re easily offended, you’ll probably be offended. If you’re not easily offended, I can’t recommend this highly enough. It’s excellent.
